Looking back from the bridge to St. Pauls. They were doing restoration work on the lower section of the exterior so it was covered by scaffolding. But as you can see from the photo they covered the scaffolding with sheets which had a drawing of the outside on so from a distance it looked like you were looking at the actual thing ... OK so simple things impress me.
A bit closer to the wheel here you can see the pods a bit more clearly. It doesn't look like the pods are connected by all that much but most of the controls and motors are hidden in the floor of each pod.
Finally on board and going the views from the pod were amazing but I might have been more interested in the wheel than the views :$ !
Coming up to the top of the wheel and you can see how tall the wheel really is, you get 360 degree views of London which is very cool.
Coming over the top I thought I had better take some pictures of the actual views so here are the houses of parliment.
A view down (or maybe up?) the river you can see the MI6 building in the distance and Battersea power station off to the right.
The last picture of the Wheel I promise! It is suprising that it fits in so well it doesn't seem too out of the ordinary at all which kind of suprised me.
I am sure this statue has a name and is all important and all but my history and knowledge is very bad, I just liked the gold ;).
A picture of the whole front this time.
Look she was in (or atleast I assume that's what it means) the flag is flying, I don't know why but I got excited when I realised that :$
Oh and a prize if you can spot my parents in this one.
An attempt at using the panaramic function on the camera I didn't do too well but I like this if only for the ghost man in the foreground ;)
I am sure I should know what all these monuments are but instead I just take pictures of anything that I like.
This is a prime example of having no idea of what it is but taking a photo all the same.
I mean it's a big gun who wouldn't think that was cool ... just me then.
The Science Museum. I would recommend this to anyone even if you don't have a technical mind (not that I really do) there is something for everyone and there are some things you just can't fail to be impressed by.
